If anything, I was born a natural learner, driven by a deep curiosity about the world and a constant thirst for knowledge. I believe the best teacher is one who adopts the perspective of a perpetual learner. As I reflect on my past experience and my future expectations as a teacher, I approach teaching with four overarching objectives, each rooted in my philosophy of uniting teaching and learning as one. First, I aim to empower students to teach themselves. Second, I aim to create an environment in which students can teach each other. Third, I invite students to teach me. Last but not least, I strive to create personal connections with my students on an experiential and emotional level. In Chinese, the word “teacher” is translated directly as “老师”(senior master), and teaching is considered a privilege, an honor, and an important responsibility. For me, teaching is a chosen calling that I undertake with love and passion. I am excited about my adventurous journey as a teacher and a learner, and I look forward to continuously improving my teaching skills and techniques to better serve my students.
